Year in Review 2023
A look back at some infographics from 2023 for me.
Twitch (original post)
“as a top 9% player…” /j
first is streamer-side, second is viewer-side. kinda surprised P5R is first there? I… haven’t watched that much of it on Twitch lmao. Maybe RTGame’s streams early this year were just that long ahah.
also really happy that I’ve almost doubled the stream count from last year (34)! hell yeah. not too fussed about the other numbers since they’re… less in my control lmao.
PlayStation (original post)
oh hey, PlayStation Wrap-Up! this is pretty mild (… as ever, the Steam Recap will be way more interesting lmao)
I’m weirdly consistent with ~90 hours of PlayStation a year lmao.
FF16 was 69 hours ;) (not started the new DLC yet, but I plan to! Really liked that game.)
Steam (original post)
Surprised that Starfield managed to edge just above P4G, but they’re pretty damn close tbf. Speaking of - P4G was ~69 hours (nice), so… that’s ~1366 hours total playtime this year. jfc. consistent, though! lmao
Destiny 2 still on top (what else is new? lmao). BG3 in second - again, fair.
also, I really like that Steam actually lets you view previous years. nice!
Jellyfin (original post)
Bloody hell, Jellyfin Rewind provides a lot of stats! Summary first, then I’ll include a few other screens of interest in follow up posts.
Huge props to @chaphasilor for making it!
(Also, considering I only switched to Jellyfin in July, bloody hell I listen to a lot of music lmfao.)
Top artists is about what I expect at this point lmao. Streams and stuff are slightly inaccurate - repeat plays don’t always register, offline doesn’t count, and it won’t catch plays via YouTube etc.
But yeah! Shoji Meguro and Keiichi Okabe took the top spots (excepting top songs, after Bungie layoffs happened… Destiny’s music is so good though).
And finally let’s show off the nightmare that is genre tagging, lmao.
I try to defer to MusicBrainz’s tagging when I can, but then that leads to things like Soundtrack / Soundtracks (which I apparently haven’t caught all of, alas).
Summary is game soundtracks, rock, metal, and the occasional appearance of pop and folk.
